A day of Vietnamese food, culture and connection at Pho King.

Pho King was delighted to welcome members and families from the University of Melbourne Alumni Association Malaysia for a hands-on Vietnamese cooking experience at our restaurant.

For us, Vietnamese food has always been about much more than simply serving a meal. It is about gathering around a table, cooking together, sharing stories and creating connections.

During the session, our guests stepped behind the scenes and experienced part of the preparation that goes into Vietnamese food at Pho King. There was plenty of cooking, tasting, laughter and, most importantly, time spent together.

As a small Vietnamese restaurant in Malaysia, moments like this are especially meaningful to us. Pho King began with a simple wish: to bring the flavours we grew up with to our community and allow more people to experience Vietnamese food in a warm and genuine way.

Seeing adults and children cooking together, asking questions and enjoying the experience reminded us why we do what we do.

Vietnamese cuisine is not only something we want our guests to eat — it is something we hope they can experience, understand and remember.

A big thank you to the University of Melbourne Alumni Association Malaysia for choosing Pho King and filling our little restaurant with such wonderful energy.
